ISUB Board Bi-Annual Proposal Timeline & 过程

The ISUB Board is a body composed of students, faculty and staff that oversees the allocation of spaces, strives to make improvements within our ISUB spaces and promotes fostering a healthy and functional culture of the building for all Vandals.

  1. Establish meeting time and place of ISUB Board
  2. Review Constitution and Bylaws
  3. Review current ISUB space utilization
  4. 审查当前的ISUB预算
  5. Collect student feedback- desires and value grading from a scale of 1-5 (Values: Engagement, 增长, 支持与归属)

*The bi-annual timeline is strictly for the proposal process. Projects will have their own timeline entirely.

秋天

9月: Bi-Annual requirements are completed by the board.

10月: 建议期开始, Board is accepting proposals from student groups, student or other relevant and recognized parties. Finished proposals can be sent to isub@jufacraft.com.

11月: Proposal Period closes for specifically Renovations Proposals; Board is no longer accepting these types of proposals for Fall. Utilization Proposal Period remains open until February. Board begins Proposal Review 过程.

12月: Board creates Official Recommendation Report to distribute to the University of Idaho President and Vice-President for Finance and Administration.

春天

1月: Bi-Annual requirements are completed by the board.

3月: Proposal Periods close, Board is no longer accepting proposals for the Spring.

3月: Board begins Proposal Review 过程.

4月: Board creates Official Recommendation Report to distribute to the University of Idaho President and Vice-President for Finance and Administration.

Utilization Proposals deadline: 2024年3月8日(春季)

Renovation Proposals deadlines: November 9, 2024 (Fall) and 2024年3月8日(春季)

建议流程: 10月/ 2月

必须完成 ISUB Space Renovation-Utilization Proposal Form and submit with information on:

  1. Utilization or Renovation Proposal?
    • 利用
      Changing the purposed use of vendor, office or common space where there is alteration of vendor contracts or financial impact greater than $1000.
    • 改造
      包括审美变化, 结构变化, furnishing additions/remodels with impacts greater than $1000 for public spaces.
  2. 提案本身.
    • If your proposals will displace another space, what is your proposed resolution for the displaced office?
  3. Relevant background information describing the need behind the proposal.
  4. 估计的财务影响.
    • Estimated budget required for project.
  5. Estimated financial contribution.
  6. Complete a scheduled presentation at one of the board’s regularly scheduled meetings during the review period.

*If your office/department is wanting to make very minimal changes (i.e. 绘画、光线变化等.) you will be responsible for covering the costs if applicable. The ISUB Board may be able to provide costs in addition upon approval.*

(3月/ 11月)

  1. Board votes on which proposals to review
    • Ensure we move forward with proposals that do not conflict one another.
    • Two categories of proposals: Utilization and Renovation.
  2. Presentation on proposal by the office/department/student

Proposal Review 过程 Markers:

  1. Space/Financial Impact Review (How will this impact space and finances of ISUB?)
  2. Reorganization Possibility (How will this impact space elsewhere on campus?)
  3. 法律评论这合法吗? Are there policies in place that prevent this?)
  4. Feasibility Review (Is this actually feasible?)
  5. Student 反馈 Cross-Check (Does this proposal fit in with student needs found on survey?)

颜色编码:

GRAY — Proposal was submitted, but the board decided not to go through full review.

GREEN — Clears all Markers, we recommend this proposal.

YELLOW — Clears some markers-may need to hold on internally and re-review later or send back to proposer for more information.

RED — Does not clear markers, we do not recommend this proposal.

Full ISUB Board Recommendation Report:

  5. Recommendation Section (Gray, Green, Yellow and Red Recommendations)

This report is approved by majority vote of the ISUB Board at quorum. 等待批准, this report is then distributed to the University of Idaho President and Vice-President for Finance and Administration.
