材料:松针、线和捡来的东西.
Twisting tree began as an exploration into stackable baskets. The form references the ponderosa tree the pine needles come from. I am curious about pine needles' ability to be both a container and a fragile disposable. The thin branches of the form showcase the material and demonstrate its delicate shape while the trunk is sturdy and structural. The stackable elements allow the tree to continue growing, as I add to it in the time to come.

The ducks that were a part of my larger wave sculpture. Painted with watercolors to create soft color transitions, these pieces represent how riding through life’s waves doesn’t always have to be stressful – it can also be fun.

Furniture Design and Construction: Theory and application of furniture design and construction emphasizing the continuing development of three-dimensional design skills and attention to physical detail; aspects of structure, 人体工程学, and aesthetics are addressed in process of designing and constructing furniture pieces.
项目目标:
- Develop awareness of typical dimensions, scales, and proportions of furniture design
- Become accustomed to working at a furniture drawing scale (inches, not feet & 英寸)
- Understand and apply human factors data such as 人体工程学, 人体测量学, 并对家具设计进行类比
- Develop design concepts that successfully combine functional and aesthetic perspectives into a three-dimensional design using case studies and free-hand sketching
